Pinelands Methodist Church

Pinelands Methodist Church strives to be a loving community serving God. We hold to the beliefs and doctrines of Methodism as expressed in: Christian Community and The Methodist Rule of Life.

Teachings

We believe that our lifestyle needs to be affected, informed and shaped by our belief in Jesus Christ and the Word of God, the Bible.

This we aim to achieve in the following ways.

Firstly by biblically based and Jesus centred preaching at our regular Sunday worship services and other Holy day celebrations.

Secondly by the regular attendance of one of our home fellowship groups that meet weekly in various homes during the week. In these groups all are welcome, as we share life together and interact with one another allowing our faith, and the community of fellow believers, to help us navigate the struggles, difficulties and celebrations of life, always using the Word of God to inform and shape our journey through life.

Thirdly by the participation in various topical and themed courses that are presented and run throughout the year. These may take place centrally at the church or in the various home fellowship groups.

Fourthly people are invited to participate in the activities and events of our established church groups that tend to be run on a monthly or bi-monthly program through the year.

Church facilities

At Pinelands Methodist Church we also believe we have been blessed with wonderful facilities and see this as a ministry we can offer to others, often outside of ourselves.

At present our facilities are used by the following groups:

Mindstretch (Special Needs School)

• Giving children with special needs a safe place to play and to learn under the guidance of committed and caring teachers.
• This group also offers an after school care facility for the children of parents who work full time.

Alcoholics Anonymous

• Two groups meet weekly in one of our halls.

Exercise classes

• A number of groups are run through the week giving people the opportunity to do exercises and various physical activities together.
